BAY AREA FOLLIES


The BAY AREA FOLLIES celebrated its 15th Anniversary in 2009.
In honor of the event Mayor Tom Bates presented director Gil Chun with a city of Berkeley proclamation.

“Therefore be it resolved that the City Council of Berkeley recognizes and appreciates Gil Chun’s work in the Berkeley community in the area of dance, singing and musical instruments. “

At the BAY AREA FOLLIES various forms of dance are displayed ---- tap dancing, hula, ballroom, ballet, jazz and modern dance. Also included are different ethnic dances. In recent years, vocals have been added to the repertoire. Original dance plays written by Gil Chun are featured along with ukulele playing.

GIL CHUN is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and singer. He works mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area.
